Fresh Clean Beauty

Fresh, the skincare that started it all. I remember it was after getting my job at Target in 2013, I was in my second year of college. It was really when I started taking care of myself. At the time I was obsessed with the Fresh Bath Cubes my mom had, and I would use them every time I came home. So I looked into some of their products on Sephora. I ended up ordering the Brown Sugar shower gel, Body scrub, perfume, and the Sugar Lip Balm.

The Lip Balm was my Holy Grail for the longest time. It worked so well, and my lips were soft. I remember being in awe of how well it worked, and my lack of chapped lips. I didn't use anything else for the longest time. I always had a few on hand and I’m a sucker for pretty packaging. so there would be lipsticks that I didn’t like, or I just enjoyed their packaging (LimeCrime, ahem, LOL) So I would remove the lipstick and melt down the Fresh one and put it into the cute tube. I definitely would lose almost every single one I did this too, but so worth it.

The shower gel I would use as a body wash and bubble bath. Then use the body scrub and follow up with the Perfume. This is my "scent story", which I’m sure a lot of people do. I also like to spritz a little perfume on my brush and run it through my hair. It was a light scent, but this helped make it linger.

After realizing how much I enjoyed their products, I wanted to checkout more. I purchased a duo of the Soy Face Cleanser and Youth Preserve Moisturizer. The soy cleanser, while I didn’t like for just cleansing my face, it was my go-to for eye makeup. I would squirt some on my lashes, rub it around, and let it sit. It would come off no problem. The Youth Preserve moisturizer, the first real "skincare" I ever had for myself. I never realized my skin needed some TLC until I used this. I typically noticed my makeup would cake-up around some dry spots near my eyebrows, corners or my mouth and nose, etc. After using this I noticed how nice my skin was looking, and how well my makeup was going on. This really pushed me into more skincare/selfcare.

I proceeded to buy their Fresh Rose Floral Toner, Sugar Lip Polish, Rose Face Mask, and Umbrian Clay Purifying Mask.

Fresh Rose Floral Toner was a no as soon as I sprayed it on my face. It was a very strong scent which I have issues with strong scents. They usually give me headaches, and if I smells something similar and strong it’s like I get a memory headache. It’s the reason I don’t mess around with anything Rose scented.

Sugar Lip Polish, loved this so much. It was the perfect amount of exfoliate and didn’t leave the lips feeling stripped, but actually nourished. I would follow up with the Sugar Lip Balm. I did try the Advanced Therapy thinking it would be even better but I actually never really saw any results. So I stuck with my Sugar Lip Balm.

Rose Face Mask, aside from being “Rose”, I didn’t notice much benefit from it. My skin did feel somewhat soft, but the Youth Preserve moisturizer also did that. It was supposed to be brightening and hydrating and I didn’t feel like I really needed it in my routine.

Umbrian Clay Purifying Mask I loved this so much and it was my go-to mask for a hot minute! It would help with my clogged pores, but wouldn’t strip my face. It was gentle and was such a nice cream-like consistency.

Aside from the few products that didn't work for me I would say that they are one of my favorite brands, and I want to continue trying more of their products. I haven’t bought Fresh products in awhile because I have been trying out different brands, and I don’t like having too many products on hand. Once I make my way through some of my current items I think I would really like to purchase a scent story of the Sugar Lemon and Sugar Lychee they have. I think they would be beautiful scents for the summer.

Example of a lipstick I replaced with the Fresh Lip Balm. There's not much left of it LOL.
